Difference / Opposite / Contrast

We can hardly find words which describe Serbia in a better and more exactly way, than the words difference, opposite and contrast. They have followed Serbia through its entire history, they are first association for the present moment and, sure enough, they will be its main distinctions in the times to come. Precisely there, in the difference of languages and customs, in the opposites of north and south, in the contrasts between colors and cultures lies the biggest fortune of the country, its biggest guiding power.
Led by the idea that precisely that struggle between two extremes always bears new and original solutions, which are being seen differently by each of the sides, I have tried to unify them and take as a main motive in my work.
Like every mirror has two faces, that way every garment can be seen from two sides and have a different purpose depend on the point of view of the eyes which are watching it. But only like that, seen from all sides it is compact and whole, perfect in its uniqueness.
We should not be afraid of a difference because only it can ennoble and enrich things, approaching them a little bit closer to the ideals. More different seeing of the same thing will only increase its value while different angles of observation will lead to new and better solution.
That concept, which I used in my work, it’s not typical and characteristic just for Serbia, but for entire world, as only correct and safe way for changing and perfecting.
